Sweet Spiced Apple Butter


4 cups peeled chopped Granny Smith apples
3/4 cup packed dark brown sugar
2 TBS balsamic vinegar
4 TBS butter (divided)
1 TB ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp ground cloves
1 1/2 tsp vanilla

Combine apples, sugar, vinegar, 2 TBS butter, cinnamon, salt and cloves in Crock~Pot slow cooker. Cover; cook on LOW 8 hours. Stir in remaining 2 TBS butter and vanilla. Cool completely. Put in a jar and refrigerate. Spread on toast or rolls.
